Hey all, new to Jeeps and need help!

Hey all, Im buying a 77 CJ5 from my step dad for $300, has little rust and needs the head put back on the 238. Im hoping to make this an offroad vehicle, but still be street friendly, just not pretty lol. Any help would be awesome as I am from the full size truck world ( I have an 03 Dodge Ram also ) and dont know squat about jeeps, but im eager to learn since the wife gave the ok on this one ( mark this day in history haha ) anyway hope to get to know some of you guys and hang out and eventually tear up Badlands. Thanks in advance!

awesome buy man, CJ's are a blast to build and thankfully the cheapest lifts are available for them since they have the leaf spring setup. check out www.4wp.com and www.quadratec.com those are the biggest ones but there are a ton more. Also stay tuned to this sites parts for sale section you never know the deals you will find on there. hope to see you on the next badlands run
