Driving without doors! (IN)

Ok, mirror question. Do I have to have both? or just driver? Cause if I only have to have the driver one. I found the mopar one.

Link

If you guys know of any others I'm open to suggestions. I just drove around the block with my driver side door off (first time) and I'm all grins!

In Ohio you are only required to have one rear view mirror. So I figure the one on the windshield is it.

Sweet. I know where I'll be stopping after work!

What if I'm driving through another state? If they have to have 2 mirrors and I only have one. Will they be able to ticket me? I'm going to assume yes.

I dont think they could ticket you. Its like living in a state that does not require a front license plate and driving through a state that requires one. They cant ticket you for that. Also another example is window tinting, if your car is licensed and registered in a state that allows tint, they cant ticket you for it in another state that has laws against it. So I would assume the same would go for the mirror issue. I could be wrong about all of this, but I think this is how it works if I remember correctly.

I went to the Harley Davidson store and got one of the custom crome mirrors ($12). Ir fits perfectly into the hinge opening for the door and it looks bad ***.

Humm... I'll have to keep that in mind.^

I stopped by the local police station and asked an office.

He said that I am able to take my doors off (legally, now physically is another question , those suckers are heavy!), and in Indiana you don't have to have your side mirrors. So I won't have to buy any extra mirrors

Just FYI, your OK in Illinois with just the windshield mirror. I like to run one outside for lane changes though.
