Chequamegon-Nicolet Forest trails??

I live in WI and have been doing some research into the Nicolet trails that are open to drive on. Here is the link
http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/cnnf/index.html

I've heard people talk about this but am unsure about it. Are all the road marked here available to drive on? are they roads or trails?

Also I was looking at McCaslin Mt. and someone who went there said they rode 10miles on a trail that was in the Nicolet forest. Any info on any of this would be helpful. Thanks

Mc Caslin Mt. good place to go. Much of the private land is now closed to OHVs.

Pipe Line is up there too, only legal OHV trail on public land.

You can travel on any road in the National Forest which is either on the map (downloadable by section from the site you linked to), or signed as a Forest Road (FR). The old signed, burmed, gated rule is no longer in affect.

McCaslin Mountain is still available for use, but you can not access it from NF land, only though the McCaslin Campground.

The Pipeline Trail goes though the Nicolet National Forest, and is open to any licensed vehicle.

Hope that helps

Ron
