If you find something local give me a shout. Wouldn't mind doing a trip to the mounds, silver lake,or to the up. I have plans to take mine out on the bay soon.
I'll let you know how the ice thing works out. Might be able to make a jeep day on the bay or something?

If you hit the Mounds let me know. I only live about 4 miles from there. Of course I just picked up the LJ 2 weeks ago so it is still pretty much stock. I may need a hand getting out.

If anyone goes to the mounds I live about 25 minutes away from there and willing to go if there are other people. The winter there can be tricky for just one vehicle there because you cannot see the holes of half frozen water. under snow.

Yea, getting stuck in the middle of nowhere by yourself is no fun, in the cold it is even less fun. Even with a winch/recovery gear you may need a friend to help.
