Washington & Oregon Curiousity

Hello all,

Just curious to know if there are any jeep access only surf spots in the NW? Be it Oregon or Washington, just something off the beaten path that requires a 4x4 to access and their level of difficulty.

I enjoy surfing and taking my trusty steed anywhere it can get me, why not combine the two?

Anywhere in the 2 states that I can legally take my vehicle on to the beach.

Thanks in advance,

JT

A lot of Oregons coastal dunes are open to 4x4's and some is remote. Mostly around the Coos Bay end. I'm not sure about up north. Just look up the Oregon dunes and you can get a map of the open areas.

The only decent place I can think of is Pacific city, it's not remote at all but you can drive your jeep right to the water. It's only 15 minutes from sand lake offroad area to if you want to play in some dunes.

If you went to sand lake you could blast around in the Dunes and take your Jeep on the beach and i would bet that you would be the only surfer in the water. Personally my favorite Oregon surf spot is Short Sands
