back when i lived in CA i had to have a tire shop remove both my passenger side wheels from the jeep and then pull the tires off them. I had jammed a lot of mud deep in the beads wheeling a few weeks before and it now cemented to the bead and was drying and cracking and in turn no longer making a seal. I noticed it after both tires on that side lost air within the same week.
So i took it in, they pulled both wheels, did a long job scraping the now rock hard mud from the bead, and remounting the tires... the problem i now know cam when they remounted the wheels on the jeep.
As yoon can attest to, we were out at Evans and i ripped a value stem, so when to put my spare on and had the worst time ever getting my lug nuts off, i mean this was way over the top. We twisted one nut beyond use getting it off and the rest were only a tad better! A while later after someone on the boards had there lugs shear off on the freeway, i got spooked and when to a tire shop and asked them to check how tire the front tire that i had not changed yet was tightened to. (i check on my torque at home and it went past the highest setting) They tested it out to a range of 240 up to over 300, one when off there scale too!!
Ok so needless to say the chance that my lug bolts are stretched if really good, and the risk of them sheering off is crazy to live with. So i got the part numbers from the stealership and ordered 2 sets of lugs (1 front, 1 rear) from Jeepareus.com boy they are great, plugged the part numbers right in, and got them at about half price! Anyway just got them and now need them put in, what a complete hassle, a lot of tire shops don't even do lugs.
So here is where i need that help
Any one recommend a good honest shop that can do a pile of wheel/ tires things for me?
i need
2 set lugs removed and replaced
one tire dismounted to check for mud inside
all tires rotated and rebalanced, hopefully with the weights in the inside bead this time
got a recommendations?

Most of this you can do yourself, The wheel studs are pressed in, I have a press that you can use if needed, you can easily break the bead and clean it up yourself If you get a valve core removal tool, and remove the tire from the jeep and unscrew the valvecore, then use your highlift jack and place the jack base near the bead of the tire as the tire is laying on its side and proceed to jack up your jeep this will break the bead and you can clean off the bead, usually the outer bead is the only one that you need to clean, because it gets the dirtiest. as for reseating the bead leave the valvecore removed, and use an air compressor, you may have to stand on the wheel as the tire is laying on it's side in order for it to jump back onto the bead, but it really is easier than you think!!!!

i was thinking bout doing myself, but had heard those studs , pulling them out and pressing them back in was a compleate PITA, and still saving up for my air compressor. I will go check in with the auto center on post for help, or if you are offering to show me how i would be quite happy to learn.

Geoff - another quick way to reseat a bead is to use a come-along & ratchet it around the tire extremely tight. Then add the air & it should pop right in..

I'm sure we all have a few job to do on our jeeps, do we want to plan a little wrenching party real soon?
I'll bring all my tools, or depending on how many we have and what we want to do we could use my warehouse
