Wrangler Wheels on a Grand Cherokee

Hi everyone. Question about fitting wheels from a wrangler on my JGC. I have a 2008 CRD Grand Cherokee and found a used set of wheels from a 2013 wrangler sahara that I was hoping buy. Has anyone tried fitting wrangler wheels and tires on a grand cherokee? Here are the wheels and tires I am looking at purchasing:

Wheels:
Jeep 7 spoke polished sparkle wheels
18" x 7.5"
5 on 5 (5 on 127mm) bolt pattern
6" back space
44mm offset

Tires:
Bridgestone dueler a/t
P255 70R18

Two questions: 1) would they fit and 2) would I have any issues with tire pressure sensors?

I would appreciate any insights anyone might have.

Thanks!

Ryan

The wheel itself will fit just fine. The "new" JK and WJ (99-04) share the same bolt pattern. The tires that come on them might be another story. They might rub a bit especially if you use you jeep for anything other than paved roads. Check out the WJ forum here and type JK wheel into the search feature; you will find more info than you probably have time to read.

Also, the Wrangler wheels are 6.0" backspacing and I think the Grand Cherokees were always 5.0 or 5.5" so you might have rubbing issues on the upper A-arms regardless of tires. This is not an automatic "it'll work" in my opinion. You'll need to test fit them first.

Thanks WXman. I will do a test fit for sure. Does anyone know if 2013 wranglers come with tire pressure sensors? If so, would they communicate with my 08 JGC?

Yes they do have sensors, and no they won't work on your GC. They changed the frequency/protocol in 2011.

Just to follow up... I purchased that 2013 set of 18" jeep wrangler wheels and put them on my WK. I bought some 1/4" spacers, but turns out I didn't need them. The wheels fit and I haven't had any rubbing issues. The inner sidewalks of the front tires are pretty close to the suspension bolt, but they clear. I will have to order some TPMs eventually. Plan is to bolt on those bilstein 5100 adjustables all around. I'm thinking 2 inches will be the perfect lift. Thanks for your input everyone.

Tire question

How are you making out with that tire combination that you posted a couple of years ago.....I have found the same combo also....I think either a 2" lift or wheel spacers would make them work great!! Please reply, I may do the deed in a couple of days!! Thks!!
