im in the same boat. in the summer im looking for new tires for my 02 Liberty and im torn between the KM2 and the Kevlar MT-R in the same size i have now. right now i have 235-85-16 Firestone MT and am very pleased with them. they have ~20k on them and are little less than half worn. not one complaint about the Firestones, i just want to try something different.

im only 23 and i find it unbelievable how some people can argue online like this. grow up. you have the time to sit and write paragraph after paragraph arguing with someone online. PM each other instead of ruing someones thread asking a simple tire comparison question.

That's the problem, you're 23. Your mom still makes your bed and pays your tuition. Capitalize and punctuate your posts before trying that "high road" from your high-horse, son.

The only fault I can find with the MTR is that they aren't offered in a 33x10.5 or metric equivalent .

yea ill probably end up going with the MT-R. i love my Firestones, they dont clean out as good as the MT-R kevlars or the KM2's, but still work great and last a long time. for not being siped, they are good in the rain and deeper snow too.

Yeah, I think the closest you can get is a 285/75R16.

Well this thread has been mostly hepful. My BFG AT's are down to 25% and to me that sucks because I seem to get stuck more often. SO time to buy new ones and sell these to those in need while they still have a used tire value.

Does anybody have an idea how many miles you can get, mostly street, on the GY's with a 04 Wrangler?

Being from Florida it is amazing how easily you can just pull off a road and bury yourself in mud. really need that front locker soon.

I'm not at all impressed with the KM2's in mud. They just don't clean out and dig like they should.

MTR's were computer designed to be literally the best offroad tire possible. Never heard one single complaint about them.

KM2s are good tires as well but I would go with the goodyears.

I've been looking at these two tires and also the Dick Cepek Mud Country tires. Seems like the BFG's still have the best ratings though.
