Wheel question

I need to put something smaller on my yj for winter driving. I'm wanting to put 33s. A friend of mine got new wheels and said I could have his stocks if the would work. Will they work with a 33?

Why wouldn't they? Just get the correct size tires.

That's what I'm asking. Will a 33 12.50 fit on these stock Cherokee wheels?

Yes they fit, yes people do it.

Best to put on a wider wheel.

Can't comment on clearance.

I've got 36s on it now so clearance won't be an issue. I just need something to get me thru winter and would rather save the money and spend it on other upgrades.

i want to put 33s on my rims. my rims are 8ins wide but the tires im looking at say that the minimum rim width should only be 8.5ins. would i run into any serious complications if i put those tires on my rims?

With the 12.50s on stock rims you will need spacers like mentioned above. You could prob run a 33/10.5 without spacers tho.

01 tj 4.0,bds springs,ROKMEN arms, ecgs 8.8 and hp30 both locked with 4.88s,35in STTs,Smittybilt bumpers,8k winch,hylined MCE flatties,TKHfab rocksliders,and lots more to come!
