wheel backspace

Is there any way to know what backspace I need if the axle isn't mounted and I can't just take measurements? I'm putting a waggy width hp 44 up front with about 5" lift and 35s. Got a chance on some cheap wheels, but I can only guess what backspace I need. Anything I risk interference with is lca, brake lines, and shocks, right? Fenders will be trimmed but I guess inner fender could still scrub. Any suggestions? Also, can anyone confirm if 15s clear Dana 60 calipers?
