what wheel and tire size?

Hi I am new to this jeep stuff, just bought a 98 5.9 limited and I plan to get a 2" lift on this jeep and I want a set of wheels and tires for when I go offroading. I plan on running 31" tires on a 15 inch steel wheels. Do I want 15x8 or 15x7 wheels fore my setup? also how much backspacing do I need. I dont want my ties sticking out and i am not doing major offroading by any means.

Let me know what you guys are thinking because I have no idea.
