What do you carry as your spare tire?

I am in the market for new tires and as my other thread stated I am thinking about either the Goodyear Silent Armors or the bridgestone dueler AT Revos, leaning towards the Revos but what about your spares? My current tires are the Goodyear SRA's which I really dislike but to save a few bucks I was thinking about just throwing the SRA on as the spare tire. DO most run the same tire as the run on the Jeep as the spare or is it not an issue?

Just wondering

I run 5 of the same tire and rotate the spare into the tire rotation mix, makes them last longer so longer times between tire purchases.

Nope. Just rotate them with every oil change.

You will find a lot of oil change places (walmart is where I go when I don't do it my self) rotate them for free if you just ask if i isn't included in their service. I have found WM to actualy use a torque wrench on the lugs when they are done. Yeah I know right, because I have been to a lot of tire shops that don't do that.

the place I use to go to does the rotation for a fee but might try the dealership. Hopefully these Hankooks look more aggressive then the SRA's that are on there, A jeep needs a nice aggressive looking tire

I also do a five-tire rotation, but always do it myself. I don't know that trust a shop to follow my rotation pattern? Enjoy the new tires!

One of the biggest pluses to doing it yourself is it gives you a chance to inspect your brakes, check the hubs and generally find issues before they are a big problem.

I carry a matching spare and rotate it with the rest. You'll get 25% more miles out of a set. I do my own rotations every 3k. I check/lube long-term maintenance parts at the same time.
