I dont think you'll find an old man emu, skyjack, or superlift that is 4" under $1000. Have to be rubicon express but that still pushing it.

Superlift has a 4" basic kit that is only $750 that I have on my Jeep. I didn't replace the upper control arms and the lowers aren't adjustable and it flexes just as much as the more expensice one that has all the extra items.
I would suggest something like I did and spending an extra couple hundred on upgraded monotube shocks because the basic superlift ones are a bit bouncy on the road but perform great on the trail.

I would add a body lift for a little more clearance.
4" of suspension lift is where it starts to get expensive. At this height, there are several additional parts that you really should replace. A SYE, rear driveshaft, and adjustable upper control amrs will add $500 right there. Sure you could drop the t-case, but then you aren't any better off than you were with the 2.5" lift.

Yeah i would go with a body lift to avoid other expenses that come with lifting your jeep 4+ inches.
But if your set on it, you cant go wrong with a Rough Country for 530. Then buy an adjustable front track bar for around 150. Drop the tcase with the included tcase drop in the mean time till you get funds for a sye.

i would do a 3 inch suspension lift:Black diamond , and a 1 inch body lift.. i no some people who have that setup and run 35s!!!!
here is the link- http://www.jeepparts4less.com/black-diamond-suspension-lift-jeep-wrangler-199702-p-1701.html?osCsid=abdte3nalvk1a48i6jkhitgbu7 or if you wanted to save some money, throw some 1 inch spacers and a motor mount on, then put a body lift on, this way with the motor mount you dont need a transfercase drop, so you can still gain clearence..that is 4.5 inches of lift right there, and if you did that you can use that extra money to put some armor and bumpers, etc. on |
