Used tires for the YJ

So I found this set of used BFG A/T with 4/32 tread depth on the aluminum jeep rims for $100. I have a nice set of Hankook iPike's for winter that I want to keep for winter. Are the BFG's worth it?

If I remember correctly, 3/32 is the minimum safety requirement. Unless you really want/need the rims, I'd say pass. Not enough meat left on the tires.

Depends how much use you plan on getting out of em. If you aren't planning on putting lot of miles on em they could last you a while. So they may be worth it to you but not to someone who puts lots of miles on daily. I bought 4 Duratracs on stock Jeep wheels a while back just to try the Duratracs. Paid $100 for them as well. It was worth it to me as I decided the Duratracs didn't meet my needs or live up to the hype of being a great tire.

As for tread as mentioned above, 2/32s for MI

Heck, if you want the rims do it. That's what I did. Needed to get away from stockers for 10.5" rubber, bought a set for cheap with nearly dead tires on them. Replaced the rubber a few months later when funds allowed, but had been running them already. Can't go wrong for $100, unless you don't have the space to store them.
