TSL/SX Super Swamper Tires vs TSL Radial Super Swamper Tires
I run my Heep around about 10 miles a day maybe 3 times a week on the road when It actually does pavement driving. Besides that its in the mud. I am looking for a really good mud tire. I am locked front and rear and have been getting the thing buried in sticky mud ( I am currently running 36x12.50x15 tsl radials bald ones) I am trying to pick a good tire. I am happy with what I have if they had the big lugs back on them and werent bald. I was wondering the difference in the 2 tires I have listed. Are bias plys a pain to balance or terrible on the road? Whats the deal with the different types of tires??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or a suggestion on a good mud tire. I would like to get boggers but I think they are a little too much for the road driving that I do. I want them to last like my tsl radials have. Thanks, Jeff

maybe you should check out the new goodyear duratrac
it looks AWESOME, looks like it'll ride like an a/t, but tread that's aggressive enough to get the job done

TSL Radials will be your best bet.
TSL SXs are bias ply, they will flat-spot overnight so the first 7-10 miles will have a whump-whump... whump-whump... whump-whump sort of shaking deal going on. SXs are about the strongest tire you'll find, but plan on them wearing much faster than the radials. I had some 33x10.50 TSL Radials and rotated all 5 tires around regularly and put 23k miles on them... then sold them with 14/32nds on all of them. Now I have 40x16-17 LTBs. They're bias and flat spot when sitting for a long time. I balance them by putting 14oz of BBs in each tire. Do some searching for "BB balancing" or "dynabeads" to learn more about that if you want. FWIW I daily drive my Jeep, but I also only have a 1/2mi commute to work Honestly, TSL Radials(not bald ones! ) will be your best bet.

The TSL SX is a steel belted Bias ply tire stronger then a reg. bias ply or radial less chips and cuts on the large lugs.
