I bought those 55 dollar special goodyear wrangler tires from walmart and got my moneys worth, but the treadwear was awful (again, fair though for the price). Those are 235/75-15s. When i bought the ZJ it had a bb and 31s on it. I want bigger tires and really want the gurad dog mts but wish they came in 30x10.5-15s... BUT, if I did get the 31s, anyone be able to tell me if thats a stupid idea with how often I'm on the highway? Would it absolutely kill my mileage (I get about 22 highway at 78mph)? Sorry for newbish question, I just don't want to buy bargain tires if I'm going to be replacing them year after next. If it's going to be like that, I would rather get firestone destination ats that i know I can get around 4 years out of. I appreciate the advice if any is given, but MAN, these guard dogs are sweet looking, and great reviews.

Ive put 10K miles on my 31" Gaurd Dog's, highway, in town, etc and it didnt DRASTICALLY change my MPG... and I LOVE them.

The retreads will last just as long as name brand tires would if you keep the pressure right, balance frequently, and rotate every 3k, just like what needs done with name brand tires.

Pull onto a quiet street. draw a straight line across your tread with a piece of chalk. drive it down the road a few hundred feet. get out and see if it evenly wore the chalk line or if you got more wear on the center of the tire, etc... if you have more wear on the center of the tire, then you have too much PSI... let some out and do it again until you have a nice, even wear.

After doing a lot of research on Tread Wrights, I'm going to order a set for my Jeep. I think I'm going with the 265/75/16 Guard Dogs.

Well mine showed up three weeks early, guess the backorder deal on the guard dogs got cleared up? I lose 2-3 mpgs highway, turnin is squishy, and they track/wander an uncomfortbale bit. but they are on bfg a/t 3-ply sidewalls. so thus far, cant say good or bad about treadwrights tire, but i will say i dont like these casings. will comment later on the tread quality. i will say this for now though, holy WOW are the tread lugs deep.

Depends on the sidewall specs. What does it state on the sidewall?

@ muddeprived: not a recommended pressure found, only the max of 50.
@ apollo: If you run them at 32, mine couldn't be low like suggested could they? Would running them lower help do you think?
