Tires & Wheels (Wheel width for 12.50 wide tires)

I have a 2000 TJ with a rough country 2.5" suspension lift and 1.25" BL. I want to put **** Cepick Mud Country tires 33x12.5x15 on Soft 8 wheels. I know I need 4'' back spacing max but is it acceptable to put those tires on 8'' rims?

15x8 is recommended for a 33x12.50 tire.

I hope you're talking about 8" wide wheel, not an 8" wheel.

I've ran that too, it stiffens up the sidewall some (slightly roughter ride), but holds a bead slightly better too. The 8's are a better fit overall.

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ Sport with a 1 3/4" coil spacer lift. I currently have **** Cepek DC-1 wheels on it. Can I run Mickey Thompson MTZ 33x12.5x15 ???? I DO NOT use this vehicle for off roading yet. I will not use it for off roading until I get a suspension lift larger than what is on it now. I only put about 800 miles on the Jeep a year.
Thank You,
Ryan

Go start new threads grand Cherokee guy go ask in you tech section for info, this is more for wheels and tires questions on what will fit. Same goes for you 2000 TJ Sport.

To the OP yes 8" wide wheels are fine for a 12.5" wide tire.

^^

So now we're all supposed to feel bad because you didn't bother to research the 200+ threads asking the exact same question that you just did ... So instead of doing that you jumped into a thread with an unrelated topic to ask your question .... and we're all supposed to feel bad for not welcoming you properly?

Nothing personal, but get real brother!
