Super Swamper TSL's in snow (sipe?)

Now that winters coming up, I really dont want to sacrifice the look/performance of my TJ by taking my swampers off. How bad are TSL's in snow? Anybody have theirs siped? What kind of result do you get from siping swampers?

TIA

I had a set of 15/35-16.5LT swampers on my truck in high school. Siping them didn't help at all. Was a waste of $45.

I have had my TSL SXs for 6 months now and although there is not much snow in Tennessee, they preform exceptionally well in the rain and have amazing traction on whatever type of terrain I am on.

So, I would say they would preform fine in the snow or at least better than most would.

As for siping... I would not go to the trouble. TSLs are super soft as it is and every time I go offroading (on rocks) I get some chunks and cracks out of my tread. Plus, Tsls dont ride or wear that well and I am guessing siping would only make it worse. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

Yeah I might just have to try them out in our first snow and see how they are for myself...we usually get a good amount of snow and I always enjoy being out in it...

I really dont want to put smaller tires back on for winter..

LTB, SX and TSL just aren't that great for hazardous on road driving conditions period. I went through 2 sets of TSLs while I had my truck, and the pucker factor in the rain and snow just got to be too much. If I was to buy an Interco tire right now, it would probably be the Truxus MT, or the Swamper SSR. That way I would have at least a little wet/snow traction.

I had 33x15.5x15 tsl sx's on my cj7. Weirdest thing is it did great in the snow starting and stopping but sitting still on the road it would start to slide sidways. I almost very slowly drifted into a bus waiting for the light to turn green!
