Stock tires on wider wheel?

I have a 2002 jeep GC Laredo (non 4x4) with the I6 engine.

I just bought 16x8.5 wheels and was wondering if the stock tires I already have will fit those wheels since they are .5" wider.

My stock tires are 225/75/16 on what I'm guessing is a 16x8 wheel.

Thanks
-cody

.5 wider, I wouldn't worry about it.

Scratches on a Jeep are like scars on a soldier, earned and respected :D

I think your stock wheels are 16 x 7.

So 16 x 8 would be 1.5" wider.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Warning: I often edit my posts a few times to get them complete, or to correct errors.

Ok I just found where it said my wheels are 16x7 so yeah I guess that wouldn't work. I was thinking it would if it was 16x8 but since it's not, now I won't. Thanks for the help guys!!
