sticking caliper wj

Have an 02 wj. Got out yesterday and I had a strong asbestos smell. Did some searching with my nose ( probably have cancer now ) and its coming from the driver side rear tire. I took the caliper off and it compressed most of the way but not fully. Anyone have some tricks to free that up?
