Speedometer with 33's

I just put 33's on my 03 TJ 6 cyl auto. I have stock gears; I believe they are 3.73. I was running 35"s but wanted a little more power a semi better gas mileage. Here is my mathematics.

Lets say I was doing 20 mph, I would take the 2 and multiply by 2, add what it equals in place of the 0. (24 mph) 30 mph is 36, 40 is 48, 50 is 60, 60 is 72. so on. Is there a mathematical equation for 33's that anyone knows of?

It's just a percentage. 16.7 percent to be more specific.

If I'm understanding your post correctly, your speedometer is reading the initial speeds while you are actually traveling the seconds speed listed in each pair. This means that your speedometer is reading 16.7 percent slower than you are traveling.

20 x 1.2 = 24
30 x 1.2 = 36
Etc...

I'm not sure what you're asking?

Stock tire diameter / new tire diameter = percentage of difference

Ex: 28/33= 0.848 so 15%
33/35= 0.94 so 6%
