Spacing recommendations for 33 inch tires?

I have a stock '78 CJ5 with no suspension lift, but a 2 inch body lift. I recently put 33/10.5/15 BF Mudterrains on. They fit fine, but I was considering putting 1.5 inch spacers on to increase my width a bit. Doing that will make the back fenders really close, so I'm not sure about it. Has anyone else done this or have any suggestions. I don't get to 4 wheel as much as I would like and I use this Jeep as my daily driver.
