I think spring spacer lifts are fine. They are good for n00bs who want to get into lifted Jeeps. If you stay there for awhile you may find in the future you want to go to a bigger spring lift. Spacer lifts are safe if that is kinda what you are asking.

I look at spacer lifts as the gateway dug of lifts...

Ooh, I need help!

I just bought a 99 Sahara and they said it had a lift but they removed it, but I think it might still have a lift. How can I figure that out?

Thanks!

I agree! I also used spacers to level out my lift...in my opinion, spacers are a good way of adding to/correcting an existing lift. Besides, springs are a better investment and only cost a little more.

Mesure from the ****er of the hub to the bottom of the fender and compare to stock.

i installed 2" spacers a few weeks ago. it looks like a real 2" spring lift. but off the road without disconnects it does not work better than without the spacers. the tires loose contact to the ground as fast as before.
i will replace the 2" spacers and the original springs with some 2.5" springs in a few days. the 2.5" springs from skyjacker are very good (on- and off-road) in a friends TJ and i think i will buy them.
