Hey guys, great forum! I'm running 31"s (YJ) with sway bar and rear track both disconnected. Am going with a 1 inch shackle lift as I am a machinist and can make them for pretty cheap. So my question is. While I'm at it what is a shackle reversal all about? The shackle is installed at the opposite end of the leaf? Obviously a better approach angle is gained, but what is the down side? Thanx!

For my case, I've used the shackle reversal to (a) move the axle forward, and (b) move shock from in front of the axle to behind the axle. In other words reducing wheel hop.
