Sensors and off-road tires

I have a Jeep Rubicon Unlimited 2011 and am planning to go get mud terrain tires for off roading. Are sensors needed for this on my tires??

Are you planning on haveing them on for daily use? If so, then yes because the TPMS light will be on constantly. If you are planning to just run them on the trail on a different set of wheels, then no.

You should be able to get a Procal From AEV (they run about $149 shipped from AEV) and turn off the TPMS so you do not have the light if you are running without TPMS sensors in your wheels.

So you're getting larger tires? Because the Rubicon already has mud terrain tires on it.

Like they said, the AEV ProCal is a great tool...you can adjust your speedo for the larger tires and turn the TPMS sensor light off so it doesn't annoy you. Mine has paid for itself multiple times already.
