Rim backspacing questions

Dont kill me guys, i searched through the forum, and i didnt find the answers im looking for so heres the question

I am going to go with a 2in RE spacer bb for my 98 Tj
I wanna stuff 32's under it, well 31.8's haha
The problem Im having is they are all 11 in wide or wider, and interco is on back order for all their 32 by 9.5 an 10.5 tires so im SOL for those

If i were to get a 32x11.5 R15 tire, how much backspacing would i need??? I have 5.5 stock and with my BFG M/t 235/75r15 tires on the 5.5bs stock 5 spoke rims they rubbed at full lock so i put in some small washers on the stops and it stopped rubbing.
I had The aluminum rims with the 5.25 backspacing with some 235/75 r15 tires and it never rubbed at full lock.

So if i were to get, say, a 4.5 back spaced rim and put on the 11.5 wide tires, would that fit?
Being that the 235/75s are about 8 in wide i figured like 1/8 in back spacing for each .5 in greater width...

Ok is their a formula to figure this out??? And what would work best??? thanks for reading -joe

I think 4.00-4.5 would be fine. If you want them to stick out more you could go down to 3.75 and it will push them out a little bit. Here is a pic of my 32's with 3.5 B/S.

Any backspace dimension between 3.75" and 4.5" will work fine for an 11.5 (or even a 12.5") wide tire. If given a choice between 4.5" and 3.75" of backspacing, I'd choose the 4.5" every time to keep the wheels tucked in as much as possible. Go with nothing any wider than 8" where the wheel is concerned.

When you have a choice, buy American made.
