Dont know if I would do that...
Dont like the idea of a wore out tire with weak side walls to have tread glued on to it...I would hate to be climbing a steep obstical and have the tread come off!!! That would suck!!!

I bought a set of 31 x 10.50 from hi tec over a year ago and they are great. I have almost 20,000 miles on them and they have only wore 1/32. I was leary of buying them but after searching the internet for retread studies, I found the state of virginia did a report on them for use on state vehicles. The study showed that new tires actually fail more than retreads....those semi tires you see along the road are mostly new tires. The only think I would says is tell them you want 4 of the same casing.....I got 2 Goodyear and 2 Yokohomo. Also get the MT....I wish I would have.
