Question on wheels

I just bought 5 Ultra Motorsports 237-238 Gauntlet off a guy who used them on his jeep for the spring.
18x 9 -12+offset, back spacing is 5.5 inches. What is the best tire size suited for this rim with no problems with rubbing or going to a lift? I will install a 2.5 inch budget lift in the future. I've read that the 285/65/18 I may need to adjust the steering stops. I know that The Dura Traks come in 295/65/18 but worry they might rub. I was originally going to go with the 17 inch rims but could not pass up a good deal on 5 almost brand new rims.
