Problem running wheel spacers

Is it not a good idea to run wheel spacers on all four wheels? I bought some spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers for my stock TJ with 15x7 wheels and 31's. I am looking to have a wider stance, but have read of people just adding the spacers to the front??? I am 90% on asphalt (no flames please) and don't need them for offroad as much as aesthetics and wheels not rubbing. Is it fine to run these spacers on all four wheels? Thanks in advance. Chris

It is OK to run wheel spacers on all 4 wheels. Spidertrax are hub and wheel eccentric making them stronger than spacers that are not. You just need to make sure that when you install them you hand tighten all of the studs and than torgue them down a little at a time using a star pattern until they are at the corect torque which is around 95 pounds. Check them periodically to make sure they are still at the correct torque and you will be fine.

I hate second guessing!!! I have been reading old posts and there are those who say: Stay stock or get new axles. You'll ruin your wheel bearings, etc.

I don't believe the amount of off-roading I do will do anything to the axels. I am ususally on asphalt and snow once in a while. Is the 1.25" spacer going to put that much pressure on the wheel?

Your two options are to get spacers or new wheels with less backspacing. Both accomplish the same thing. Both ways will put the same stress on the bearings. I have never heard of anyone having problems with the bearings and if they do go they are very inexpensive. It is one of those old wives tales that people just like to repeat.
