Painted Ravines

Painted the center section of my ravines this weekend. I like the way it turned out, and thought I'd share some pics.

The paint is by Duplicolor, and is specifically for wheels. Masking the edge was hard, but other than that it is straight forward.

Nice job!

Might be an option for me after I buff out the scratches from wheelin' this weekend.

Did you have to sand or prime em before you painted?

35sUnlimited 04-03-2006 05:46 PM

Thanks

Thanks for the compliments.

Ya sand with 320 wet/dry to prep the surface for adhesion, spray 2 light coats then a medium coat. On top of that I put layers of clear. Next time I rotate the tires I might scuff 'em up a little and put another coat or two of clear to make 'em like glass.

Was all easy except masking the edge. Took a little time is all.

Inlet Beach. Very East end of Walton County(Just west of Panama City Beach). What about yourself?

It is getting harder and harder to four wheel around because St. joe is making a lot of the land they own private/lease now.
