New rims can I still use stock lug nuts ? Jku content

Hey quick question

Have a set of 17" level 8 tracker aluminum rims on my jku right now with black pro comp black spline lug nuts.

Basically I was told when I bought the rims that I need aftermarket lug nuts so I got them. But after a few months and a rotation the lug nuts look horrible and rusted and I am not happy with them.

I want to go back with the factory nuts but I'm not sure if I can. I have seen mixed answers online.

One person from discount tire said no you can't but another said yes they would work but I may need a thin walled socket.

Does anyone know for sure yes or no?

Thanks for your help guys!
