All the white letters on tires is white rubber molded into the tire. They cut the black rubber off the outside of the tire to reveal the white lettering. This may not be true for all tires but I know it is for Micheline. That being said, you could sand it off but it may be a little more work than you want.

No, I was being silly, like Goodyear is pumping out new designs so fast, those that just came out a few months ago are obsolete now.

The problem with these tires is they are a Walmart Only tire. Walmart gets companies to take up cost cutting measures and put out a slightly inferior product so they can sell it at what appears to be a lower price than their competition. The product is only offered at Walmart because if it was offered anywhere else, it would be the same price. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. Maybe those cut cutting measures don't amount to any real difference with these tires, but the marketing concept is somewhat annoying. We have three or five threads going on about this tire in various sections of this forum, all started by the same OP who for whatever reason is almost pimping these tires. I would like to see all of the threads consolidated, especially since they were all started by the same person.

I just put a very similar looking tire on my Patriot, called the wrangler "territory" almost looks the same, here is the thread for anyone that is interested.

I guess I can't post link so i'll just make the post here:

So after being torn on what tire to get, the final straw came when crappy tire had their buy 1 get 1 for 1/2 price deal.

I decided to go with the Goodyear Wrangler Territory in LT225/75/16

Here's the specs of my jeep:

Stock height FDII using the patriot 16" steel wheels.

As you can see in the pictures no problems clearance wise on the spring perch as well as that little piece of plastic in the wheel well.

They do rub at full lock although since they clear the above mentioned obstacles I don't know where it is rubbing, not a big deal at all and it doesn't bother me either.

In terms of ride and handling, they are loud, not like a humming loud but its more of a whoosh type sound, similar to a set of winter tires I had on a previous vehicle. The noise isn't that bad altough for a daily driver some people might find it a bit much. They are heavier than the stock setup although I havn't noticed any adverse effects. Speedo is off I presume but not a big deal either.

As for performance offroad, they have been on for about 2 hours, and as you can see my Pat is rather clean at the moment, later tonight or tomorrow i'll go hunting for some mud to see how they perform.

So in my opinion, 225/75/16 fit on an unlifted FDII and most likely FDI rather nicely.

hopefully this will shed a bit of light into anyone interested in these tires.

Thank you very much,

These tires have been on my Pat for 2 weeks now and i'm impressed with them, anything would be better than the stock SRA's that were on it.

They are not so bad in the wet, I guess the siping is helping out there and while they are a bit noisey its mostly in the 50-70kms/h range. At highway speeds 100+ kms/h you can hear them but they aren't too noticable, the road noise drowns them out.

havn't had a chance to go through too much mud but they don't seem to get very plugged up in my experience, can't wait for winter and I think the deep lugs would be good in the snow (they do have the snowflake symbol)

Walmart sells based on volume, not by putting out an inferior product. I've been in earshot of these kind of comments before and they're just untrue. They may place an order with a manufacturer for a specific design, but they don't take cost cutting measures as in making 1-ply tires and selling them in competition with 2-ply. They take a 2-ply 2nd tier tire and sell it for less than a comparable 2-ply 2nd tier tire, because of their VOLUME purchase power ...

I personally like saving based on a "group buy", if you don't, by all means spend more? The only thing I don't like about Wally World, is their use of Chinese goods, but where can you go to get away from that? Even my Mickey Thompson Classic II's had a nice "Made in China" sticker slapped on 'em.

Wow that looks like 3 new Goodyear hybrids in a couple of months time. What are they just throwing new tires out there now to see what sticks?

Where did you get the Territory tire? Is it another WalMart tire? I have a feeling the Duratrac, Authority and Territory are all built on the same carcus. Personally I like the looks of the Authority the best followed by the duratrac then the Territory. But since I didn't see the mountain and snowflake symbol on the Authority that puts the Duratrac at the top of my list.

If I didn't buy a set of Federal MT's already I would have tried these for the Jeep. I'm looking to get them for my tow rig though and try them out.

Sorry, just now saw this. I think I priced the radial growlers the other day... Either way, if you look on their site, they've got some new sizes out, and will have a BUNCH more here soon.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Ive played with them some, the sidewall could be a tad thicker but overall its one badass tire. If they had them in 33x10R15 then Id buy some.

The other day I was at my local WeirdoMart so I stopped over to see how they looked, and honestly was a good looking tire for a hybrid design. IMO they look better than the Duracraps.

(Relax, I know I said Duracraps and you own some )

One of my buddies works in the TLE dept. at the local wally world, and he said that they have a 0 mileage warranty, so no go on that. Looks like a pretty good tire though imo, and may be the next set to go on the pickup.
