If they made them in a 33x10.50 I would be kicking myself for buying my KM2's

I wonder if they have any sort of mileage warranty, I doubt it with tread that aggressive.

I've been thinking about the Pro Comp Xtreme AT/MT's to replace my stockers, now I have to see this

Just got home from Walmart. 31x10.50x15 is the largest listed size in a 15'' wheel. 265/75/16 (32'') the largest listed in a 16. I didn't have time to track someone down because I had to get to the gunshow. I need ammo.

I would like to find out what sizes are available as a special order. Nice looking tire.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Actually in the 265/75/16 it is offered in a Load Range 'C' or 'E'. Just like the new Duratracs.

Good. I'd avoid that E like the plague. The higher load ratings make for some rough riding tires.

You might check out the Pitbull Growler tires as well. I think their 31x10.50xr15 are $150ish as well. They are more aggressive than an MT and have been getting great reviews. I know they are coming out with a LOT more radial sizes here soon as well.

I thought they were only in the 38-40" range on the Maddogs?

Huh. That Goodyear Authority is a good looking tire. Hopefully more sizes soon.

It looks very much of a hybrid tire to me (combination of AT and MT tread and siping).

I find it interesting and encouraging to note that Goodyear keeps coming out with more hybrid tires. The Authority, Duratrac, and the new Kevlar MTR are all hybrid tires, IMO. That is very good news.

In the past, the vast majority of hybrids were made by Cooper subsidiaries (like Mickey Thompson MTZ, D!ck Cepek MT and FC2, Mastercraft CT, Destination MT, and Dean SXT); and also Dunlop Rover RT and the famous Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip. That meant only about 6 models of hybid tires existed, and size choices were limited. Dunlop also make a couple other models of great hybrids, but were selling them only in AU, and not the USA. So we in the USA had only a few choices of hybrid tires, and even fewer size choices.

Now Goodyear apparently wants to compete with Cooper subsidiaries in the hybrid tire market. That is a very good thing because we already have 3 new hybrid tires to choose from, and if this trend continues, we'll get a lot more good hybrids to choose from.

The BFG Traction T/A is another good hybrid tire, but it's not made in any sizes or load ranges useful for Jeeps, IMO.

It's nice to see that Goodyear is entering the hybrid tire market in what appears to be a big way with 3 new models in a short span of time and many size choices for Jeeps. I'll be even happier if they offer some hybrids in my favorite size (33 X 10.5 R15). Then I wouldn't feel the need to buy a Toyo MT 33 X 10.5 R15 and attack it with a hand held groover/siper tool to make it into a hybrid in my size. It'd be really nice if I could buy a hybrid tire that's already siped/grooved and ready to go in my favorite size.

Amen. I like to avoid D and E. C are tough enough and ride way better.

Goodyear is pumping out new models faster than Microsoft!

For a hybrid tire these look better than the (now obsolete) Duratracs imo. These are likely not near as offroad worthy as a typical MT tire though?

Maybe now Goodyear can come out with more MT designs? Perhaps one in a 33" size that doesn't require the sucker who buys it to blind himself with white lettering.

I saw them up-close at Wallyworld on Saturday; they look much more AT in person. The sidewalls also seemed less than robust.

I was told that it's possible to take some fine sandpaper and carefully sand off white lettering on tires. I've never tried it because personally I like the white lettering.

Obsolete duratracs? they were phased out already?
