New BFG AT KO?

Does anyone know what's new or better with the new BFG AT? I see the price has gone up. America's tire lists the old one for $115- and the new one for $131- (31 * 10.50). The BFG web site doesn't really say.

Are you talking about the difference from the All Terrain Radial to the BFG A/T KO?

I can't find it now, but I thought one of the tire web sites described a new/improved BFG AT. At the Americas/Discount Tire site, I see
"BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO - 31-1050R-15C1 109S W (38985)" for $115-, and "BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO - 31-1050R-15/C1 RWL (38902)" for $131-. This is making me think there is a new version out, for the extra $16- per tire.

However, it could simply be a price change and the old listing hasn't been removed. Sam's Club also bumped the price about $10- per tire.

Update: Here's the description at https://www.tiresavings.com/
"The BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO Tire is the All-new version of America's best all-terrain tire. ShoulderLock Technology. Even more go-anywhere traction, durability. Exceptional treadlife. Same great looks."

What is new about it?

They're charging you $16 more for the RWL. Raised White Lettering.

They mean an updated version of the Radial All Terrain.

The Radial All Terrain had larger voids, but didn't have the siping or sidewall tread that the A/T KO does. However, I believe the sidewall was actually a bit thicker.

They changed the sidewall a bit and added a rim protection strip. This was a long time ago. I first got the BFG AT KO's (too many letters!) right when they were switching to the new design, and that was in 1999.

Look around locally at tire prices...I paid $114 a tire for my 32" KO's at Sears. those prices sound a little high.

that was about 6 months ago......

Do you happen to have a quote or a recipt from that? That's $12 a tire better than I've found, and Sears will price match.

Thanks

I was wrong...I got my reciept out of my jeep......I paid $129+12.99 for m/b per tire. I thought there were much cheaper than that. Sorry to get your hopes up....

when I was pricing them out I'll bet the 31's were that price...again sorry!
