In deep snow they do really well.

They're not too great on slick roads or light snow coverings, but they are still doable.

You could get them siped. It runs around $10/tire at local shops. I'll probably be doing this to my MTRs soon.

Siping is the lines cut in the middle of the lugs. You alreadt have them on your tires. And yes, you should leave the Trxus mt's on for the snow. You can't get much worse than the GSAs for any condition. Actually the Trxus do awsome on wet/slick pavement, but I can't comment on how the MTRs^ do in the slick stuff since I haven't ever ran them.

I had my BFG MTs in the snow last year, they did better then I thought. Many people exagerate that MTs suck in the snow, I thought they did great. The year before I had BFG ATs which everyone says are the best, well they did do better then the MTs, but IMO the MTs were a short second.

Anyway, I too would say to get them sipped.

$10 a tire at Discount Tire (and probably some other places)...or buy a box cutter for a couple bucks and do them yourself...

although, as mentioned already, your tires are already siped, assuming they look like this:

the TrXus and ProComp M/Ts are siped, the BFG M/Ts are not...(just mentioned the very common models)...

ok, i guess im going to leave them on for the winter now. my front driver side tire has a slow leak, i doubt i can patch it so i think im just going to get a new tire thats why i was going to take them off for the winter in the first place, because i heard they'd suck in the snow and because i have a leaky tire

Do you know where the leak is coming from. I wouldn't even bother with patches ever, but you can get them re vulcanized. They melt the rubber and make the tire good as new again. I pay 20 bucks to have it down whenever I bust a tire. Not many places do it though, so you may have to look around. The place near me that does it ships em out or something, takes a few days. A leaky tire could be good in the snow though, I deflate when its really coming down, does a great job for increasing traction

If you don't find your leak, try putting Super Slime in your tires. It's good to automaticaly plug holes up to 1/4".

Myself I just purchased 5 TSL SX 32 x 11.5 and am having them sipped as well.

Here in Maryland we usually have a good bit of snow. For this reason I switch to a 33x12.50 AT tire that is just kept for winter. The Bfg At's are great in the snow. If you come across a set I would deff buy them and do the same

Does siping really help that much? I mean just looking at it you wouldn't think it would, just being little slits in the tire. If the slits were 1/4" wide or something I would understand it, maybe its just because I'm not from where it snows more then 3" a year (I'm in TN )
