my cooper STTs are better on the road (expacially in rain) then my old BFG ATs. and they are better in mud than a friends BFG MTs. the STTs clean out their thread very good with street air pressure. the BFGs do this only in that way when you air down.

In my experience BFG M/T's are really good in both mud an the road.. I currently have TrXus Mt's on my truck an I love them... On the road they are great. Arent too loud, good highway manners and werent bad to balance.. I have no experience with the TrXus STS, IMO they are fugly as all get out.. I know there are a lot of people that Dont like the TrXus that much.. I havent ha a problem with the 5 I have.. Even kept up with boggers in the mud drags I compete in....

X2. My friend runs them and loves them. If were to run a radial tire I'd take the MTZ's in a jiff...

I'd go against the TrXus M/T's...they're great offroad, but the hassle that they provide on pavement isn't close to worth it. Mine wore down in 15k miles, never were properly balanced (tried four shops), and slid in the rain. I have to give credit where credit is due, though... they were amazing off-road.

My Pro Comp MT's do a great job and they're quiet on the road! They aren't being chewed by the pavement either

TruxSs will be the best off pavment..but you better be replaing them after 15k. Tred + Road = Tredless. They may hold up longer than that, but you will notice a post 15k.

If you are daily, I would go with the BFG's. I would guess they would carry 30k easy with a good owner/driver. After being through several Goodyears...I wouldn't recommend them if they were $50 a tire less...

Go for what you can do. Don't overshoot and plan for the un-expected.

the bfg m/t wears great on road and are awesome off-road, but are pretty noisy above 30mph. It got old pretty quick on a daily driver.

i agree with randonlee25. i have 33x12.5 procomp MT's and i really like them. my tj is my daily driver and i get more wind noise via my hardtop than tire noise. and so far have tackled everything i have thrown at them offroad. are there better tires out there...sure, but for the price and overall quality i am a fan.

i run the Maxxis buckshot and i have about 27,000 in them and still have good tread left on them. They are not too loud and have decent road manners.

Toyo Open Country M/T - great everywhere (Siped, fairly quiet - for a MT, strong sidewalls) - no complaints here!
