Moab wheels on 285*75s? (First mods.... Total newbie)

Hey guys, about a week ago I ordered new wheels and tires and a 4" Currie lift for my (so far completely unmolested) 04 Rubicon. After a ridiculous amount of time reading JF and browsing the pics here, I really like the look of the Moab wheels on 33" tires. I ordered 33" BFG MTs, but the sales rep on the phone said the Moab wheels didn't have enough backspace. I see several jeeps on the forum here with 33 inch tires on Moabs and I'm wondering what the trick is. Any advice will be much appreciated.

I ran 285 75 with moabs on my 04 Rubicon by adding a couple washers behind the steering stops. I now have 255 85 on moabs and think they are a superior tire.
