i have a 76 J10 with an 8ft bed, i used a superlift 4"( as big a lift as you'll find, without a body...) and black diamond shocks. it rides better now than it did before the lift. i would however recomend shelling out the extra money for the full spring setup. i just bought the standard, with the springd up front and an add a leaf and a block in the rear. Super Lift was the cheapest at the time i did mine and thats what fit my budget, i dont know , you may want to spend more on urs.i didnt really need to change anything although there is a slight vibration at highway speeds (60-65) Hope this helps. burly
