I have a very easy question, please put my mind to rest.

Im currently putting new rims on my 2001 xj, and i want to be able to fit 33x12.5x15'' tires potentially in the future, the rims im looking at right now are these...

15" Mickey Thompson Signature Black Rims Jeep TJ YJ: eBay Motors (item 130397030321 end time Jul-31-10 08:02:12 PDT)

it says that they are 15'' rims with a width of 8'' what the widest tire I can fit on that rim?

this may be the dumbest question of all time....sorry guys.

and also....what size rim do i have to buy to fit 33x12.5x15s?

right now th biggest my xj can do is 32s, but i dont want pizza cutters!!!

and in everyones opinion, what would be a good thick tire size and rim size for my xj, she is currently sitting on around 4'' of lift.

thanks guys....and please....go easy on me.

3 1/3 backspacing on those rims? You are going to want wide tires with that backspacing. So it sounds like it should work out for you I guess. So it is more of deciding which tires you want, and then getting the proper rims with suitable backspacing

They make it look sweet. IIRC the BS is 3.62-3.75 not 3 1/3. Either way they will fit up to a 13.50 maybe wider. You will be able to run 11.50 and 12.50's fine with that wheel. But with it sticking out as far it might rub at the corners when turning. if not lifted enough or trimmed. Either way worth it and will look great.
If you want a full 32" get a regular old 33" tire, Most measure out at least a size smaller. But swamper's come size listed, The new Kevlars measure out real good, MTZ's are real close. Depends on if you want a radial or full out trail tire. Good luck

I have 35s on 4.5" of lift. I know plenty of people with 33s on 3" of lift. you can easily do it. They are 12.50 wide also. Find yourself a good 33x12.50 and run around 3.5-4 inches of backspacing. less would be even better
