I blew another BFG tire!

I went 'wheeling with the local club, and after noticing that I lost significant air in my front drivers side tire, I noticed that I punctured the shoulder and upper sidewall of that tire!

The trail I went on was the Brooklyn Mine Jeep Trail near Joshua Tree NP. 1 year ago, I went on the same trail, and blew out a spare BFG AT I had been using as a spare. Thankfully, I keep the trusty Interco TrXus MT on my rear carrier for trail emergencies. My next plan is to get rid of the BFG MT/KMs and buy a new set of TrXus MTs...Money well spent.

Just be glad you did it while wheeling . One week after putting brand new 33" BFG mud terrains on my TJ i came out of the house and "forgot " i had a small trailer attached . I backed up , jack- knifed the trailer and ripped a 7" gash in the sidewall of one of the rears when it hit the trailer . I never saw a tire go so flat quite as fast

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I ripped through BFG sidewalls like it was my job, and i barely touched them. i love the tread pattern, the traction and how quiet they are. too bad their sidewalls seem very thin for the price they are. i mean i know they are radials, but still, there are other radials out there that have better sidewall durability.

88 YJ...kinda. Clayton Hard Arms, V8, 1 tons running gear, twin sticked, Irok's, fuel cell, multi-colored

If you read on rockcrawler.com, they review the BFG's and comment that their weakness is still sidewall strength. That has always been the reason I stayed away from them. You will love the Trxus MT's
