help with tires and wheels

ok i have a 2003 jeep grand cherokee 2wd stock everything. im looking at buying new tires (size p245/70r16) and while i was buying them i thought i would look into buying some wheels too. the only problem is i have no clue what size i need to buy. and when i buy them will the tire size change also (i dont plan on lifting it just making it look more to my liking) . thanks for any help.

Your wheel bolt pattern is 5x5 and you have 16 inch rims (as designated by the r16 on the tire size). You will need that rim size in a 7 or 8 inch wide rim. You won't be able to fit much larger tires, so I would stick to that size. Also pay attention to the backspacing. Your stock wheels have 5-5.5 inches of bs. A lot of aftermarket jeep wheels have much less bs to fit wider tires , and this will space your tires out. If your going for that look then great, just something you should know.

You have to pay attention to the offset or backspace if you are buying aftermarket wheels.

Read about it here:
