help fast 2" RE lift on my cherokee

I am doing lift and cant seem to get the track bar to line back up. There are no brackets in my kit and I needed to know if I have to drill a new hole or anything else, Thanks
Matt

I (and most others on here) had the same problem. My 3" required that i drill a new hole, about 3/4" to the right of the old one. as far as your 2", you could have somebody rock the front end back and fourth while you wiggle the bolt back in. Check to see if your axle is centered on your front end after getting it all back together, and if it isnt, you may want to get a relocation bracket or an adjustable trackbar if you are looking to go bigger anytime in the future...

I just had the exact same problem, with the exact same lift... about 2 days ago.

Here's what I did, it's kinda ghetto, but it did work and I didn't break anything or lose any fingers.

You'll have to take your airbox out. Take a short piece of chain and wrap it around the driver's side motor mount by the exhaust manifold. Hook a come-a-long to the chain, then hook the other end of the come-a-long to the swaybar end link mount on the passenger side of the axle. Tighten up the come-along slowly and have a friend slide the bolt in. You won't need much force at all, just a nudge is all it will take as you can see since the holes are only off by about an 1/4 inch or so.

BTW, we came up with this solution only after numerous failed attempts and rocking the truck back and forth, having two big guys pushing on the driver's side, two guys standing in the engine bay, etc. That stupid bolt just would not go in.

I had this issue with my TJ, I used 2 guys, but one was about 400 lbs so leaning on the jeep produced a pretty noticable effect, the come along idea sounds good, but why not just hook to the bumper or frame somewhere that you dn't have to worry about body damage, the idea is just to line back up the body with where it should be, GL, AL

I guess I could've just as easily hooked it on somewhere else, but the driver's side motor mount was a straight shot right down to the axle and it worked great. In either case, whatever works to get the bolt in

Mine seems kinda high in the rear as well, but from what I've been told, it will eventually even out, and after that it may start sagging even, because the add-a-leaf puts more stress on the leafs.

We'll see, I guess.
