Has anyone used Chevy rims/wheels on a WJ or JK yet?

I have some 15x8" aftermarket Chevy rims that I bought real cheap then sanded and painted. Backspacing hasn't been measured yet, but they do stick out more than the stock WJ rims. They bolt on and seem to clear the brake calipers. Wheels spin freely with bolts tighten.

Just wanted clarification as to whether its fine to run these wheels on my WJ. Haven't measured hub size either, but even if the hubs don't measure up, should be fine running some acorn lug nuts as long as the hub on the wheel is larger than the one on the axle, right?

Currently waiting to put my tires on the wheels, and have a lift on the way that is necessary to clear the tires. So, I just wanted to know if any one has used Chevy rims yet? I've seen a few people ask about them, but no one actually do it yet so I'm scared there might be a reason for that.

Well, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe stock size WJ wheels are 16x7, 5x5, with 4.5" BS.

Also, not sure if they are steel or alloy. Had a hard time reading the stamps on the back. Only ones I could make out right were max weight and Made in USA.

6" backspacing on the stock WJ 16x7 wheels.

I can't comment on using stock Chevy wheels. I wasn't aware Chevy had some stuff that was 5 on 5 bolt pattern.

My '81 Olds station wagon is 5x5. The same year's Delta 88 was 4.75

If I remember correctly, the difference is that GM wheels have a very different hub bore size. But otherwise they should be OK. Some people say a larger bore will lead to vibrations but I haven't had that happen to me before.

Great. I think these Chevy rims have somewhere between 4-5 inches of backspacing. Not too sure.

Yea, the full size 5 lug Chevy trucks were 5x5, until about ~97 I think, also tend to have less backspacing than our stock rims. These are aftermarket rims made for Chevy/GM trucks. Also, 90's Caprice/Impala's were 5x5, as well as a few other cars.

Yeah, that's what I was curious about. Acorn lugnuts tighten to proper spec should be fine until I can get some adapter later on, right? Are you also on GM truck wheels or just have aftermarket wheels with larger hub size?

Mounted with some 31x10.5x15 BFG Radial Long Trails and acorn lugnuts with lock. Slight rubbing on sharp turns, esp when reversing. Other than that no issues. No vibes at highway speeds. Got a BB on the way to take care of the issue.

Did a good amount of research. Wheels seem to be American Racing Ventura AR136's. 15x8" with 3.75 BS (-19 offset) and 83 center bore. Just ordered some hubcentric rings 83 OD 71.5 IN off ebay.
