im pretty sold on the pro comp all terrains because of the 50000 mile warranty. They are the same price same price but the duras look so awesome i keep drooling over them. Both are supposed to be awesome in snow, i really want to see a side by side comparison in some real snow (more than 8 inches )

Wow that looks like a good time! I miss winter haha. Tire chains would help a ton. Now all I need is some pics of some pro comp at's in some snowy action.

New Mexico Driving Rules...
As a general rule, the vehicle most in need of a significant amount of bodywork (for which the driver is most likely uninsured) always has the right of way.
Never use directional signals when changing lanes. They only serve to give away your next move, causing most NM drivers to speed up and not let you in. In fact, use of directional signals within most large NM city limits is actual illegal.
NM law states that at least 50% of all paved surfaces within the state must be under construction at any one time. In all construction zones, at least half of the available lanes must be closed, regardless of whether any actual construction is be accomplished or not. Construction signs shall be regularly repositioned in order to warn drivers about upcoming lane closures immediately after they pass the last exit before traffic backups.

Driving through constructions zones with upcoming lane closures is a popular game in NM. It’s called the "speed up and pass as many cars as you can, then see how close to the lane closure you can squeeze back into traffic before hitting any of the orange construction barrels" game.

No they get noisier as they wear down. I have rotated mine every oil change (3k) and they are pretty loud for an AT

SUre the traction is good now and stuff, but the siping is soo shallow that I forsee these tires being sucky after the siping wears off.

I have these in a 31 size on my CRD, and love everything about them. I agree with all the other posts, as they are a great tire at a bargain price and better than 75% of their other competition. However, when going to the larger sizes especially in the 16in wheels and bigger, I can't say the same as the field narrows tremendously!!!!!!!

The main reason people are so pleased with these is something called "value added ownership". In other words, when you buy something at whats considered a bargain vs. other choices that seem alot more expensive, you subconsciously have more "pride of ownership" due to the fact you make a good decision.

I'm gonna need some new tires for the LJ pretty soon and will be getting some 285/75-16's............As good a tire the Duratrac is, I can't justify spending more on this tire in that size than many others I've found. Prices i've found range from $202-$225/tire at several different online stores..........and local retailers are quite a bit more. A list of same size tires I'm considering that are less expensive on average:

Grabber AT
Cooper ST
Cooper STT
Kuhmo MT
Fierce MT's
Hankook MT
BFG AT

And for just an average $20-$25 more/tire:
KM 2's
Wrangler MTR's
Toyo MT's
Trxus MT
Swamper SSR
