I just walked out the door of TFT in Enfield CT with 4 new 31x10.5r15s with alignment for 870. My old ones had 7/32 left on fronts and 6/32 on rear. 90k miles with 5 rotations.

I hate to see this thread disappear completely. I noticed that Goodyear is not offering their discounts on the Duratrac this quarter. Are they selling real good or not selling at all?? Looking for the 265/75R16 in "C" load rating.

I noticed as well no discounts or haven't found any. Mine ( 265-75-16s ) have close to 90,000 on them, down to 5-6/32s now
Best tires I have ran for a long time, at least for me

Mine have over 100K on them and will probably need to be replaced before the snow starts. Great tires!

Sidewall issue is what held me up from getting a set last week.. Does anyone have good stories on these holding up well on rocks, trails, ruts,? I don't rock crawl but I do like mud trails/ruts… Duratracs seem just about the perfect tire in every way for me, but on every forum, I see so many pics and people getting tears thru the sides, even from pot holes. I'm used to running MTRs and BFGs, load E's, and feeling confident and not giving a second thought to driving over a small tree root or stump. With all the reports, I'd be so worried about going offroad. It's almost like not whether will ever get a rip, but when will be the time it happens. Anyone do a good bit of offroad and not have issues?

Even when I do a search on "sidewall tear BFG or Cooper", What seems to come up is a pic of a Duratrac.

They tear about as easy as bfg at it any other at. Im on my second set and wheel at the badlands several times a year, never had a tear. Im about to throw a set on my tahoe as they are a great all around tire. If you wheel in sharp jagged rocks, id steer clear, but id steer clear of most at tires for the same reason

Do you run E load? Have you seen the KO2 with the puncture test video? Pretty impressive. Plus it's 3 ply sidewall on those. I'm leaning towards them but have to get E load, I'm trying to shed a few lbs.

I ran 35x16 e load. Ran them in the rocks, Usually ran 8 - 10psi. Tore chunks out of them around the rim. Never punctured a side wall.

I was at Discount Tire today to get my new KO2 tires, they have a 34" or so Duratrac (D load) and a similarly sized KO2 sitting next to each other on display. Feeling the sides and treads, the Dura is incredibly flimsy and much thinner, especially the sidewalls. KO2's sides felt much more robust and meaty. Originally, I was going with Duratracs in C load and had them ordered, but after seeing all the threads on the punctures, at the last minute changed my mind for KO2s. Today, seeing how flimsy the side was even on the D load, I felt good about my choice. DT was really awesome to deal with.

I did find that a few years back, the E loads had "3 play" printed right on the side. But I guess they changed that. They'd really have a home run if they could go back to that or use Kevlar.

It appears Goodyear is offering their $60 rebate during Feb. 2016 on the Duratrac tires.
