Tires are working great for me, 31's on my jeep.
Only issue is that last 1/2" on each side of the tread just does not make contact with the pavement..

Same here i have them at 30 also went as far down as 25 and still the edges were not flush. But after 5k miles show no uneven wear.

I wonder what the reasoning is behind this odd behavivour.

I run mine at 30psi also. I've got about 6000 miles on them now and the outside 1/2" or so has never touched the ground.

Thinkin about pickin up a set, my bro has one as a spare and it looks well worth the $148 my local wallmart has them on sale for and ive looked on tirerack and the only thing in that price range is the firestone destination. There still cheaper then the duratrecs

had mine for 1 year now and have put tons of miles since i travel 50 miles round trip a day. Only thing i can recommend is rotating very frequently. Also as the tread starts wear down the tread gets better and better. Good tire, though dont mistake these for mud terrains They are pretty godly on dry terrain and rock but seem to clog the channels easy when in tacky mud

what, if any, are the advantages over duratracs, other than about $15 a tire

X2 on the rotation.. I rotate them every oil change (4000 miles) and they wear evenly

Thats why you have to floor it to clean the grooves. I haven't got stuck yet. Knock on wood

One advantage to me is that if I have a problem with any tire I take it down to wally world and they replace/fix the issue. I have the roadside crap. It helps when you travel as much as I do.

The other night i got curious and totaled up how much 4 dirtytecs would be shipped to my door vs 4 authoritys shipped to my local wally world. Overall differance was like $1xx and that was with the rebate for the dirtytecs. The money i would save is pretty much gas and beer $$ for a week
