What's the fuss about?
I don't suppose I'll be able to see the white lettering while I'm driving anyhow.... ....I'm just trying to find a tire that works in this Georgia scrud and will still get me to work every day.

Some of the mail order places have a little pile of the old MTR's, btw. I called around yesterday. I'm thinking of mounting a set of 30x9.5-15 to my trailer.

There was stuff called Tire Black that would color the raised white lettering.

Just let my wife drive your Jeep for a few days and guarantee the lettering will be worn off. She puts a lot of miles on the sidewalls

All bling jokes aside, first impression of these tires are great. The sidewalls are remarkable.
This is my first Jeep but I've had 14 pickup trucks. I put the tires on yesterday and only have about 100 miles on them --- all in the rain. I purposely drove hard at areas where I usually hydroplane, lose traction, slide, etc. and they didn't miss a beat.
I'll hit a dirt road or two on the way home this afternoon.
$215 each plus $50 rebate for the set from Discount Tire. 285/75-16.

Rubber compound? Position of sipes? Contact patch relationship to weight?
I was trying to barrel-arse myself around and it sounded more like velcro separating than tires on wet asphalt. I kept saying "wow".
I have to try some gooey mud and a concrete offramp next.

Any word if Goodyear will leave the white lettering off? Should save them some money.

$19.99.....
There is a $50 rebate on them for the next 3 days and they'll price-match anything (even Z the tax out to match!). Made it $205/tire for 33's.

Here is the list, bottom of this page. It shows sizes and which are in what color letters.

Tried them on some muddy clay hilly mess splooge and tall wet grass last night.
All smiles. Big chucks of Earth heaving in dynamic rooster-tail ballistic arches heavenbound as I casually point-n-shot myself all over the place and listened to Skynyrd.
Not tractor tires but they're the best tire I've ever used that doesn't rattle my fillings loose on the highway.

Just called my closest goodyear retailer..... $286.00 a tire incl. mounting them and balanced....bla bla bla...

Called the next dealer... $237. mount/bal, plus tax... Better...
