Jerry, it was peterson's 4 wheel offroad mag. I'll have to bring that up to them, maybe...

Oh, that makes sense. I don't bother reading that rag, it's more for the chrome-gets-you-home crowd. 4WD & Sport Utility does usually know better.

No it does not say that! It says, "The tread does look directional, but we are assured that the tire will provide the same traction and performance either way it is mounted." That two part sentence is talking about 'directional', which means can the the tire mount on either side of the truck. It says nothing about 'inside/outside'. You will be hard pressed to ever find a picture that Goodyear had anything to do with that shows them mounted on a wheel with other than the T/A appearing tread in the inside.

It's the same thing. or is it not. Run the tire backwards on the same rim. = white walls in.

No it's not, not off-road. Yes, on-road, in general, it's the same. I said this way way earlier on this thread, the outer big lug tread and it's sidewall lugs are meant for rock grabbing. It's the same idea as typical beadlock wheels only having a lock on the outside, it's where the tough work happens.

Directional tires say on the side which 'direction' they should roll. These do not. They DO say which is the inside and which is the outside. If you think they will work better for you mounted other than what GY thinks, go for it. I think you would be better off buying a men's size in black or use Jerry leather dye.

No offense, but I think I'd mount them in a dumpster and find something more useful. I've seen better tires on a wheel barrow.

Yea well...when you are broke with no money and can't afford tires you have to stick with the ones that came STOCK on your jeep. I admit they suck *** and i hate them but until i get more money for 31s these will be my tires. So i am asking a simple question

Offense intended, do what the man says!

Seriously, it won't matter honestly, those tires perform so mediocre that any additional lose of traction can be attributed to nothing other than, who cares dawg, they were mediocre to begin with!

White in or out ...

Now what about this theory: the combined sum of larger "outside" lugs cause more drag (small amount I know) than the combined sum of the inner lugs. So gents, by mounting the black wall out, the tire will actually track on roads better by creating a slight "toe-in" sorta biased condition???

My theory might be as big of a stretch as Rosie O'Donnell fitting into women's clothing, but figured I would throw it out there all the same.

This may sound a little too eager, but I have a knife and some free time ... where you say you live again?

so any new info on these? I was pretty much set on the KM2's but I just don't think they're going to cut it in the terrain here, we have too much mud and gooey stuff. What are people getting for mileage and how do they wear? How are they in mud? Does the kevlar make the sidewall any stiffer so that you have to air down further? Thanks.
