Front end shaking

I just got new rims and I had my used tires put on them. The fronts are almost gone, but they were fine before. But driving now with the new rims, my front end shakes very noticeable at about 50mph. Could this be the tires? Or what? Please help before I spend more money on them. They said they balanced them, buti don't know

Tmmike1,

I would go back to the shop and have them re-balanced. It sounds like it is a tire issue, since the only thing that was changed were the wheels. That really could be the only culprit. I would have the shop go back over their work and make sure they were balanced correctly or you haven't thrown any weights.
