I finally have a Jeep I can build on. I have had several Jeeps, but this is the first I have done much real work to. So, anyway, I have a general idea the direction I want to go with the project, but as I have not done a lift before, I have no real experience with what really works well. I know the REs have a great reputation and I was looking at the 3.5. I was just wondering if there are other options that may be a little less expensive but still reliable and respected. I am going for off road performance, but although this Jeep will not be my daily driver, it may be driven daily, so I need some streetability as well. I will probably not go any bigger than a 33" tire. I am not afraid to spend money on it to do it right, I just want to know what the options are. Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, it is a 2001. Oh, and is there anything else I will need for sure with the lift (SYE, etc.)? Thanks.
